IMAX Named 2009 Arts Awards Finalist

21st Annual Arts Arward NominationIMAX has been named one of only five finalists for the 21st Annual ARTS Awards to be presented in Dallas in January 2010.

This is the fourth consecutive year for the company to receive a nomination.

IMAX Worldwide Imports has been named one of only five finalists for the 21st Annual ARTS Awards to be presented in Dallas in January 2010.

This is the fourth consecutive year for the company to receive a nomination.

Finalists will submit a detailed portfolio to a panel of distinguished judges, including Mark McMenamin, senior editor at Interior Design magazine; Cheminne Taylor-Smith, public relations director for Metropolitan Home and Elle Decor magazines; Dixon Bartlett, a furniture executive; Lynn Brandon, Ph.D., primary professor and coordinator of the Home Furnishings Degree Program in the School of Merchandising and Hospitality Management at the University of North Texas and David Cadwallader, owner and principal designer of Cadwallader Design Inc.

Small Business Borrowing – A Primer on SBA Loan Programs

The White House recently announced a $15 billion plan to ease the credit crunch affecting many gift and decorative accessories businesses. One program earmarks funding for loans and technical assistance by the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) “microloan” lenders.

In addition to extra funding for microloans, the new program will reduce small-business lending fees and increases the amount the SBA will guarantee on some small business loans. However, the new program does not stop there.
